What is home

care?

Home care refers to non-medical supportive services provided by trained professionals in the comfort of your own home.

Unlike institutional settings such as nursing facilities or assisted living homes—where caregivers must divide their attention among many residents home care offers one-on-one support, allowing for more personalized and attentive care.

This approach allows individuals to maintain their independence, dignity, and daily routines while receiving the assistance they need in a familiar and comforting environment.

Q1. What is the difference between home care and home health care?

Home care offers non-clinical help, such as meal prep, mobility assistance, companionship, while home health care — sometimes shortened to “home health” — provides professional medical assistance.

Top of mind when choosing a home care provider should be quality of care delivered by qualified professionals.

At Gentle Hearts, our highly-trained caregivers are committed to providing compassionate care to our clients.

A family caregiver is a family member that is paid to look after a sick child, a person with disabilities, and/or elderly. A certified is someone that has obtained some training to provide assistance with activities of daily living.
