Ensuring the well being of our clients

Additional Support Services

While our primary focus is on hands-on, non-medical care and supervision, we understand that certain household tasks may be necessary to help clients remain safely and comfortably at home. When time permits, our caregivers are happy to assist with the following

Placing garbage and recycling bins in or out for collection

Assisting with basic pet care, such as walking (Note: Caregivers are not permitted to bathe, groom, or remove pet waste/litter)

Sweeping the front entrance

Assisting with small indoor or outdoor holiday decorations (Exceptions: We do not hang lights, glass ornaments, or fragile decorations)

We help with Hands-On Care, Non-Medical

assistance.

Physical transfers
Walking assistance
Wheelchair assistance.

Light Housekeeping

Maintain upkeep of common areas only; where Client spends most of the day. Not general or deep cleaning
Make bed and change bedsheets if needed. 

Laundry

Bed sheets, linen and personal garments.

Transportation Services - Additional Support and Charges

Gentle Heart Care offers limited transportation as an ancillary service only—it is not the primary purpose of our care services. Transportation is available exclusively for medical appointments and physical therapy. It must not interfere with the established care hours selected at the time of admission and is subject to Caregiver availability.

Coordination Services with the following

Assisting client placing grocery orders online and pickup
Medication and cleaners pickups 
Medical Equipment delivery or Pickup
Medical appointments

Meal Preparation

Plan and prepare meals.

Social Care - Companionship

To develop strong relations, emotional support and socialization.

Protection

To conduct safety checks to eliminate potential hazards

Simple tech assistance

Cellphone assistance is limited to help guide clients with texts and email only. For liability concerns; our Caregivers cannot assist with Printers, Laptops, TV’s, Wifi Routers, Smart Watches, Tablets or Desktops.

Our caregivers work closely with Gentle Hearts Care Manager

to ensure continuity and coordination of services. 

They are trained and knowledgeable in assisting with both medical and non-medical equipment as prescribed or directed

This may include the use of:

  • Eye Gaze Device (communication aid)
  • BiPAP Machine (oxygen support)
  • Cough Assist Machine
  • PureWick Urine Collection System
  • Electric or Manual Hoyer Lift
  • Electric Wheelchair and Bed (mobility aids)
